We are excited to announce that Herman’s House, an acclaimed documentary exploring the injustice of solitary confinement and the transformative power of art, will launch its outreach campaign, ‘Beyond the Cell’ this week with a theatrical premiere in New York City, and a marquee screening in Albany.
‘Beyond the Cell’ will first stop in Albany, with a screening at the Sanctuary for Independent Media . The screening will be attended by State Senators Bill Perkins Velmanette Montgomery. A panel moderated by Nathan Vogel of the NYCLU will include experts on the issue of solitary reform:
