Impact Goal 

Promote series tune-in, increase awareness around the complicated nature of the drug epidemic, and help to reduce the stigma around drug use and addiction in the United States

Strategy 

  • Picture Motion engaged in conversations with partners and experts and did extensive research into the themes addressed in the series in order to develop an informed audience engagement and impact strategy around THE TRADE
  • Provided audiences with resources and guides to facilitate the use of the film as a tool to combat the opioid epidemic 
  • Held 31 screenings with 15 hosts during Recovery Month

Results 

  • Curated a total of 90 screenings
  • 70% of screenings were held in areas severely impacted by the opioid epidemic
  • 7,015 Estimated screening attendees across all screenings
